1. Program:
Our guide will meet you at the Reception desk for a pleasant and comfortable 2 hours drive to the Rila Monastery. This is the biggest monastery in Bulgaria. The most beautiful monastery that dates back to the 10th century is hidden in the impressive Rila mountain Range. Founded by the Bulgarian monk Ivan Rilski back in the 10th century, who was later proclaimed a saint by the Church.
On the way you will learn the history and mystery behind this famous place. After arriving at the monastery, you will be able to enter and walk around inside to feel the ancient atmosphere.
In the Monastery you will also visit: The Monastery's museum, The Church "Birth of the Holly Virgin", the coffin of Tsar Boris III, The Monastery Kitchen /called Magernitsa/, Hrelyo Tower .
You will have the chance to buy locally produced wines, honey, wood-carved items and other souvenirs sold in the small shops around the monastery.
The rates are:
Price per car for 1-3 pax: 170 Euro
Price per car for 4-6 pax: 217 Euro
Price per car for 6-8 pax: 225 Euro
2. The Rate are in Euro and includes:
- Chauffeur driven air-conditioned car (or minibus) transport from a hotel in Sofia to the Rila Monastery and back.
- Professional guide for the duration of the tour speaking your language
